In everything we do, is this being implemented?
Really, I don't think so...
But yeah, as they say, we should have this thing.
So, as we have discussed about this etiquette, I have learned so many things that are quite shocking and even revolting in a way. An example of this is when a man can let or not let woman seat when he is already seated. I think, a true gentleman would let a woman sit. Since this day, I always observed men when they will let a woman sit or not...And happly, Filipinos are kind of a gentlemen, for a few will only not lend their sit :D So be happy everyone...
Well, here are some that I really would acknowledge...(I got it from wiki :D)
Etiquette codes prescribe and restrict the ways in which people interact with each other, based on respect for other people and the accepted customs of a society.
Modern etiquette codifies social interactions with others, such as
- Greeting relatives, friends and acquaintances with warmth and respect
- Refraining from insults and prying curiosity
- Offering hospitality to guests
- Wearing clothing suited to the occasion
- Contributing to conversations without dominating them
- Offering assistance to those in need
- Eating neatly and quietly
- Avoiding disturbing others with unnecessary noise
- Following established rules of an organization upon becoming a member
- Arriving promptly when expected
- Comforting the bereaved
- Responding to invitations promptly
- Accepting gifts or favors with humility and to acknowledge them promptly with thanks or refusing the gift politely
