Of course, he needs to be likable to be an effective leader.
There is no leader elected because he is not liked.
He must be first and for most be LIKED!!!
Energetic
He needs to be energetic, so his members will be energetic as well :D
If the leader is sleepy, would it steer up his members to work well?
Always there
A group is lead by a leader of course!
If he is not there, who would lead them?
A leader wouldn't abandon his members!
That is the code of a true leader!
Deliberative
He/She can deliberate the works with his members well
He is not just pointing nonsense things or he lets the work to be done by one person.
He should not do all the work either.
That is a big NO!!!
He must know how to divide the work and deliberate them in each members
Excelling
It really doesn't mean that a leader must be excellent or something.
He just needs to be a little bit knowledgeable.
He must at least strive for excellence.
As a leader, that is your goal.
Responsible
The most important characteristic of a leader for me is Responsibility.
Without this, you don't have the right to be a leader.
Really, it would be insulting for the members if the leader is not responsible.
If you are chosen as a leader, the responsibility is already there
So being a hypocrite about it would be really revolting.
